A blend of mystery and romance

Joyce Proell

This brownie recipe is one of my favorites. It's moist and has a dense chocolate flavor. Truly delish!

Best Brownies Ever

2 ounces sweetened chocolate

4 ounces semisweet chocolate

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp vanilla

2 large eggs

1/4 cup flour

1 cup walnuts or pecans (loosely chopped or broken)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Prepare an eight inch square pan with foil overhanging the sides. Butter foil. Place both the chocolates and the butter in a heavy saucepan on moderately low heat. Stir occasionally until melted. Remove from heat. Stir in the salt, vanilla, sugar, and then add the eggs, one at a time, until fully incorporated. Add flour and stir briskly until the mixture is smooth and shiny. Stir in nuts.

Turn mixture into the pan. Bake 40 minutes, or until a toothpick, inserted into the middle, comes out clean. Remove from oven and cool in the pan. Place in freezer about an hour. Remove brownies from pan. Cut into 16 pieces.

Thanks for stopping by,

Joyce
